Low Cost Frankfurt Airport Parking

There is excellent parking facilities available at Frankfurt Airport, with multi-storey car parks and underground areas allocated for each of the terminals. In all, there are 15 000 parking spaces available, and these include – special parking space for woman drivers, disabled drivers, holiday makers, short-term visitors, motor cycles and extra large vehicles.

  • In order to reach the parking facilities for Terminal 1, follow the autobahns A3 or A5 and watch for the signs indicating Terminal 1. Do the same from Federal highway B43. This terminal has five entrances to the parking area (P1 – P5).
  • If your destination is Terminal 2, the parking is again easily accessed via autobahns A3, A5 and the Federal highway B43. Parking area 8 is the underground parking garage, or make use of area 9 from Terminal Section E. All the parking areas provide direct access to the Terminals.

These parking areas have parking charges that should be paid at the pay machines, in cash, by credit card or by EC card. When you are at the airport and have any parking enquiries, parking management staff will offer assistance. They are located at the main exits of the over-ground and underground garages of both the terminals.

Parking for 30 minutes will cost €1.50 and 60 minutes, €3.60. For any time over 60 minutes, charges will be €3.60 per hour or part of any hour to the maximum amount per day of €23.50.

For longer periods, a week or two weeks will cost €117.50. Therefore, anytime parked up to two weeks will be charged at €117.50.

After the two weeks, each day or part of the day will be €5.00 extra. Three week parking is charged at €152.50 and each week thereafter, an additional €35.00.

Parking space can be reserved online and paid for via Visa or MasterCard, or a voucher can be sent by post. Up to nine months before the space is required, it is possible to make advance bookings. Booking parking space in advance is advantageous for your peace of mind and could save you up to 53% on parking charges.

A special parking space is reserved at Frankfurt Airport for the strict use of woman only. These are certain rows indicated by signs and white markings at the row’s entrance. Their location is at the underground parking section of Terminal 1. Rows are as follows: P1 – Row 126; P4 – Row 225; P5 – Row 326.

Parking spaces for disabled passengers are available in the underground parking garage of Terminal 1, as well as, the underground area of Terminal 2. There are specifically designed spaces to assist the disabled in loading and unloading, in the approach areas to the ticket pay machines and check-in location. These parking spaces are free, but remember to always place your Disabled ID card behind the windscreen, where it can easily be seen.

Don’t worry about parking space if you are arriving by motorbike. The parking spaces are free of charge. Extra high vehicles, buses or cars with trailers can park in special area P36. P36 is situated on the left end of Terminal 1.

Over 14,000 parking spaces are available at Frankfurt Airport’s long-distance train station. Therefore, parking will never be a problem if you are continuing your journey by train. The parking space is connected to the train station via short, covered routes.

Holiday parking facilities are available on the south side of the airport. Do make enquiries for this service if you are planning to park for a lengthy time period.

All the parking services are able to be booked in advance through internet services, which will greatly decrease your parking costs.
